Enviable Holidays No.1!
The request was for a Honeymoon in the Caribbean when the prices come down in the summer.
This is fairly broad ranging so we needed to get a little familiar with the couple to see if we could narrow down the options a little. The bride to be, has travelled the Caribbean with her family in the past and loves Tobago, Antigua, Grenada, St. Lucia… it seems she loves the all the Caribbean! The groom on the other hand has never been to the Caribbean, well Cancun (yes that counts) but with his family have been to Thailand, Egypt, India… not on packages but trips they planned and booked themselves.
Hmmm…
What about a twin centre to give a little adventure followed by a romantic finish to the honeymoon?
And where is one of the most romantic places in the Caribbean? Well, St. Lucia comes to mind, lush, green and gorgeous!
4 days in nice hotel on Rodney Bay Marina with just breakfast so that they can explore what the island has to offer and its food, also to be on their own timetable, Harbour Club fits the bill perfectly, a small car (they drive on the same side as us) will enable them to drive around and explore!
… But they also want to enjoy a bit of “them” time just lounging around and maybe not have anything to worry about but maybe what to have for lunch. This smells a little of “all-inclusive”! Remember they wanted to go when the prices came down so I’m not going for Jade Mountain, not this time! I need something more than just an eat and drink all you can resort, this couple have travelled and may enjoy a resort that has given thought as to how they might entertain their guest during their stay, I’ve just the place, East Winds (it used to be called East Winds Inn, I guess it has a history but no time now to delve into that)! More than just an all-inclusive, guest can partake (or not) in cooking classes, rum tasting and other such activities, perfect!
When boiled down we have flights with BA, transfers to the Harbor Club Rodney Bay, 4 nights with breakfast and suggestions as to where to visit and where to eat, Gros Islet and the Coal Pot will certainly be among our recommendations. They will meander themselves to East Winds for a further 4 nights all-inclusive in a lovely cottage. Of course, we always like to bring our clients back so we transfer them (albeit reluctantly) back to the airport for their return flight back to London.
The cost comes in at just under 4.5K, that’s a lot of Honeymoon for the price me thinks!
