Incredible cruise with P & O
Some cruise ships spend their summer in and around Europe cruising the Mediterranean and elsewhere, come the beginning of the winter season, usually sometime in October they head down to the Caribbean ahead of the busy winter season.
In the past the ship went down virtually empty as there was very little demand for cruising at sea for the most part of the journey. However, there is an opportunity here!
Remember, this is a large cruise ship with a capacity of over 5,000 passengers, yes there are 9 days at sea but, there are daily activities, not to mention the gym, cinema, shows, pools and sundeck.
As you can imagine on such a big ship there are many eating options, from buffets to poolside snack bars, these casual spots are the perfect places to stop by and tuck into a tasty bite. With options available all day and even late at night, you can enjoy delicious dishes whenever you feel peckish.
From light bites to decadent dinners, there’s a menu for every appetite. You’ll find traditional British favourites and exotic world flavours available throughout the day, as well as special dishes created by their superb chefs.
Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply keen to indulge in an extra-special food experience, these restaurants offer a superb setting for a sumptuous occasion. Settle into chic surroundings, enjoy flawless service and take your pick from delicately crafted, delectable dishes.
Be entertained in a theatre setting from traditional theatre productions to on board gameshow, magic to cabaret or even the circus! Naturally there is music. And so much of it in several venues throughout the ship, try them all or pick your favourite!
During the day, you can do as much or as little as you like! Swim, there are several pools, whirlpools and spa. Sport, yes on board a ship, archery, golf driving or table tennis then there are games, shuffleboard or giant chess. Take a dance class or try the silent disco! Want to spend some time with your nose in a book, try the library, or wander around the art gallery.
Nine days at sea might not be enough!
… and when you get to the Caribbean you still have three ports to arrive at and three islands to discover, thankfully the cruise ends up in Barbados as its final destination where you can spend some time recovering from 2 weeks of cruising with P & O cruses.
